Who Are We?
The Opportunity we saw
Exercising is a big part of staying active and being healthy. In our research, we found that people do not usually exercise due to a lack of motivation and enjoyment. Current activity and health planners do not work around time constraints, such as work or school. Many workout or exercise planners that are currently available tell the user which exercises to do, however these planners seem to work best for people who are already physically active. For people that do not already exercise, this does not provide adequate motivation. There are already many products that have motivating features, such as reminders to stand or walk a certain number of steps every hour, but these do not promote strenuous exercise. In addition, exercising for the recommended 30 minutes a day seems daunting and unenjoyable to those who currently do not exercise.
Our Solution and About this Website
To get people exercising, we created this website, Banana Splits. Banana Splits does not just track workouts; it also motivates users to exercise by breaking workouts into manageable chunks of time and making them fun for all fitness levels. We have designed a wide variety of workouts so that the user can choose a new routine each day, keeping them interested. From talking to physical therapists and trainers in our local area, we found the best ways for people to exercise. Our website combines informative pictures and a fun graphical user interface for an enjoyable user experience, which helps keep people engaged. We also connected with web developers who taught us about site organization and worked with us on ways to make the website user friendly. We have implemented leaderboards, badges, and other community-related activities to keep people involved, adding an exciting and competitive aspect to casual exercising. Banana Splits works to make exercising friendly, fun, and enjoyable, rather than dreaded and despised for all ages.

Meet Our Team
Project CEO/ LeadHarry SchultzMy name is Harry Schultz and I had the privilege to lead this group of rag tag website developers to what we have now. As you can see, when I am not being an awesome CEO of this project, I am kicking butt at karate where I am a second degree black belt. On the regular robotics team I help in machining and other mechanical work.

Backend Software DeveloperLance HartmanMy name is Lance Hartman, and I am the lead software developer for Team 708 Hatters Robotics. I am an avid runner, as I also do track and cross country. For the website, I helped with planning, themes and other general information. I set up the backend for the calendar and coded some other parts of the website to make it look nice and work.

Front End Web Developer & AnimatorSneha IndrakantiHi! I'm Sneha and I am the front end web developer and an animator for Team 708 Hatters Robotics. I am also a tennis player and a classically trained dancer. I created some of the animations for the website, created the layout for several pages such as the profile page, and also helped make the website more functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Graphic Artist and Form DeveloperJulia FumoHi, I'm Julia! I'm currently a junior and have been a part of Hatters Team 708 for several years. On the team, I help write and organize documentation as the system integration lead and work closely with the software team. This year, I created the featured badges on the website, created the exercise form, and helped plan the layout of the site. Outside the team, I enjoy weight lifting, which I picked up over quarantine, and skiing.
